On Wednesday the 24th of July from 7.00 pm come and spend some time outdoor practising meditation and mindfulness. The event will last around 3 hours allowing us to do some practice during sunset. The purpose of the evening is to bring mindfulness to some activities we do during our day to day living such as walking, speaking, listening and moving in general. This will help to become generally more mindful.
During most of the event, the participants will remain in silent (except during speaking/listening from the Heart practice). The idea is to dedicate this time to inner exploration and trying to focus all our attention within with as little distractions as possible. However, there will be time for sharing during and at the end of the event.
Here below is the program for the evening
Meet at 7 pm — Laundress Green, Cambridge
Walking meditation to the Grantchester Meadows
Speaking/listening from the Heart
Walking meditation back to Cambridge
Final sharing and feedback
The event is open to beginners and/or advanced practitioners of meditation and mindfulness. Just come along with an open mind, the intention to explore within and to enjoy some outdoor summertime.
Cost: donations which will be entirely be donated to Jimmy’s Cambridge. Jimmy’s Cambridge, for over 20 years, has been providing help for the homeless in Cambridge.
In case of heavy rain, the event will be postponed to a different date (TBC)
