Bicycle Lessons
Riding Through Life
At some point, a bicycle stopped being just a bicycle.
It had always been there.
As a child.
Through the first rides, the first falls, the first climbs.
Later came longer distances, harder roads, early mornings and entire days spent in the saddle.
Over the years, cycling became part of the way I experienced the world.
Not just a sport.
Not just exercise.
Something woven into my life.
This series is a collection of stories from that life on two wheels.
Some are about childhood.
Some about falling.
Some about climbing.
Some about riding further than seemed sensible.
They are not stories about records or achievements.
They are simply things that happened along the road.
A bicycle.
A road.
And whatever happened next.
